Firstly Alison and I want to thank the people of Singleton for their support for the clothes swap. It was the first one and certainly will not be the last! We had a variety of clothes, some with tags on which others were able to swap and add to their wardrobe.
We got given shirts, pants, shorts through to Winter jackets and pjs. We had a steady flow of people and want to thank those that came along to support this community event.
Thank you to Singleton Girl Guides for allowing us to use your hall. It was a wonderful space and the set up was great! We could not have successfully done it without you!
The day was great to be able to raise awareness about the fast fashion industry and how it has a huge impact on our environment. It was so fun to see people swapping out their old for someone else’s new. If want to read more about fast fashion, check out our other blog here.
We hope to hold another one in September, so when you are cleaning out during Winter, make sure you keep your clothes ready to come along and swap!
It was a great day and hope to only improve making each one better than the last!
If you have any comments on what you would like to see at the next one, please let us know!
